Macromedia Fireworks MX is an easy way to create, optimize, and export interactive graphics into HTML, Dreamweaver or Flash. One can make anything from a basic graphical buttons to complex rollover effects and pop-up menus.

Skill Lesson 1 - Fireworks Basics

An introduction to the Fireworks platform. Skills include opening, resizing and saving documents. A swatches panel is saved as an .act file.

Skill Lesson 2 - Editing Images

Enhance the brightness, contrast and color of images.

Skill Lesson 3 - Selection Tools

Utilize the selection tools and their settings. Tools used are the lasso, magic wand, crop, and resize.

Skill Lesson 4 - Text Tools

Use the text editor and the effects panel to make text with flare.

Skill Lesson 5 - Shapes Tools

Use Fireworks draw tools with the fill and effects panels to draw colorful shapes.

Skill Lesson 6 - Pen Tool

Practice the bezier pen tool. Make a signature as well as a curved shape. Fill shapes with texture.
