Heartland Equality Project ( a "hands-on" project ) Project Lesson 1 - Home Page

The home page is the first page that visitors to your web site will see. In this this lesson you will construct a very basic home page with proper foundational HTML tags. You will then insert a large heading at the top of your page and an image beneath it.

Project Lesson 2 - Profile Page

In this page you will make your first table. Table with invisible borders are commonly used to align various elements on a page. You will build a table to align text in two separate columns.

Project Lesson 3 - Photos Page

In this page you will construct another table to hold images and accompanying text in alignment. The images will be placed a row across the page.

Project Lesson 4 - Horse Show Results Page

Information will be displayed inside a table on this page. For the first time you will make a table with visible borders and a background color.

Project Lesson 5 - Placing Links in your Site

In this lesson you will place three links in each of your four pages, allowing you to navigate to any page with a single click, no matter which page you are on.

Project Lesson 6 - Preparing Your Page for Search Engines

In this lesson you will be placing important information in the HTML of your home page that will allow search engines to more easily find and properly classify your web page.

Project Lesson 7 - Improving your Site Through a Final Review

An important part of constructing any web site is a thorough review at the end. In this lesson you will add several important HTML tags that will improve your web site.
